Working with Generation Medics is completely different to other internships and so much more useful! I actually get to do work that brings about tangible change. I've gained skills and invaluable experience that I certainly would not have in other office jobs! At the end of the day, I’m not just “shown” the company’s impact or what I can “potentially” gain or do because here we all get hands-on with work that's making a social change!

I chose to work for Generation Medics because I really believe in supporting young people to fulfil their potential. I had experience of working for a large organisation and national government where decision-making and approvals take a long while to process. It's often months before you see the results of work. Working for Generation Medics is the opposite - we work at a fast pace! This has allowed me and the team to get things done and see outcomes quicker. It's great.

Something that really surprised me about Generation Medics was the amount of input that every team member was encouraged to contribute, it was definitely a great opportunity to play an active role within the team and promoted lateral thinking. From the very first day, I was able to develop skills such as team-working, marketing, writing and problem-solving. The list is endless! The variety of tasks and projects helped me to grow in awareness of what skills I had without knowing, as well as build entirely new ones.
